Reporting accidents, incidents and near misses

The toolkit documents on the right contain the notification forms you will need to use to inform Safety Services of an accident, incident, near miss or work-related ill health together with the associated University Arrangements relating to accidents, incidents and near misses and Guidance on reporting.

Safety Services maintains records of these centrally (including the legally required accident book) on behalf of the University, in line with the University's records retention schedule.

An appropriate investigation will also be required in order to determine the cause and decide the corrective action needed to prevent a reoccurrence. Further information is available in the left hand menu.
